goodyear eagle f1 asymmetric wet braking distance

The tyre tread uses Goodyear’s Racing Compound Technology to combine carbon black for dry traction, silica for wet traction and a new generation of polymers to optimize tread stiffness.

This compound is molded into an asymmetric tread design with wide, solid outboard shoulder blocks to increase cornering traction while a continuous center rib improves high-speed stability and an open inboard tread pattern disperses water.

The properties of the tread compound decisively influence the grip of the tyre to the road.

The combination of new generation polymers is optimized for maximum grip and safety in wet conditions.

Goodyear’s Run On Flat® (ROF) or Extended Mobility Technology™ (EMT) tyres are a great solution for those who value peace of mind and storage space.

Since they are made to help you keep driving with a deflating or deflated tyre, you should consider them if convenience and safety are top of mind when searching for the right tyre.

They allow you to drive at a top speed of 50 mph for up to 80 km to help you reach a safe place or service area.

Quick note: You’ll need to have a Tyre Pressure Monitoring System or have one installed in order to be eligible for Run On Flat tyres.

The Eagle F1 Asymmetric SUV is a silent tyre that gives exceptional driving comfort.

Tread design is the secret to ensuring a quiet ride.

The different tread block sizes and the staggered tread block arrangement result in an audible reduction of the noise frequency peaks when the tread blocks meet the road.

This reduces the overall noise emission and allows silent driving comfort.

When cornering, the car’s weight distribution tends to move to the shoulder grip on the outside of the tread increases while the grip on the inner tyre dramatically decreases.

The Eagle F1 Asymmetric SUV was developed with the objective of increasing the tyre to road contact area by distributing more even pressure across the width of the tread patch.

The Eagle F1 Asymmetric SUV sets new Ultra-High-Performance Handling Standards with its unique Active CornerGrip Technology.

An aramid layer in the inner sidewall reinforces the compression during cornering for a more even distribution of pressure across the contact patch, which consequently provides more grip.

The footprint of the Eagle F1 Asymmetric SUV is far less triangular than the predecessor’s tread footprint, which means the Eagle F1 has more road contact across the entire width of the tyre tread and consequently produces far more grip through the corners.
